Dr. Dennis and his staff offer friendly, family dentistry for all ages. We are committed to improving our patients’ oral health and providing the best current treatment options. Our office hours are Monday through Friday with some evening appointments available. Dr. Dennis and his staff perform all aspects of general dentistry including fillings, crowns, inlays and onlays, preventive hygiene services (cleanings), endodontic therapy (root canals), dentures, bridges and implants. All procedures can be performed with oral sedation at the patient’s request. New patients and referrals are welcome and we are wheelchair accessible.

Believe it or not dental cleanings and check-ups are the most important procedures we do in dentistry today. Preventing problems before they occur is at the forefront of modern dentistry. Removing calculus or tartar before gum disease occurs is the most important part of a Dental Hygienist’s job. Root Canal Therapy
If decay reaches the innermost layer of the tooth, the pulp, root canal therapy will be required in order to restore the tooth. The infected pulp is removed, the space where it resided is thoroughly cleaned, shaped and disinfected and a rubber based filling material is packed within. Sedation Dentistry
Oral sedation is a great way to do dentistry for select individuals who are anxious about dental treatment. We frequently provide these services for patients having wisdom teeth removed, extensive restorative work or just those individuals who are nervous about having dental work done. You cannot drive yourself to your appointment and are legally impaired for 24 hours so be sure to rent some movies and take a day or two off work!
Extractions
Sometimes a tooth is too broken down to restore. In that case extraction may be the only option in order to help maintain other teeth and prevent infection. Gum disease or periodontitis can destroy the supporting bone around a tooth so it becomes loose and also has to be removed. Wisdom teeth that are not in ideal position or may become impacted should also be removed. Sometimes orthodontists may request teeth be removed so there is enough space to move teeth into the correct positions.
Crowns
Crowns or ‘caps’ are restorations that cover and strengthen a broken down or highly filled tooth. They can be fabricated out of porcelain, gold or a combination of the two materials. At the first visit the broken down tooth is built up or the decay is removed. The tooth is then shaped so there is enough room for the crown to fit. After an impression is made and a custom temporary crown is cemented on the tooth patients will return again to have their permanent crown cemented onto the tooth.
Veneers
Veneers are a type of restoration placed on the surfaces of front teeth that change the colour and shape of the teeth. You can think of a veneer as similar to an artificial fingernail that you can chemically bond to the tooth. Composite veneers are made out of white filling material and can be placed usually in one visit. Porcelain veneers are made out of porcelain which is a much harder material and gives a more accurate representation of natural tooth structure. Implants
A dental implant is a surgical grade titanium device designed to replace a natural tooth root. Upon it we can place an abutment that can hold a crown, bridge or denture. Implants will replace missing teeth as well as prevent further bone loss and help maintain adjacent teeth. Thorough treatment planning is required, frequently with a three dimensional scan of the jaw to measure bone height, width and quality. Whitening (Bleaching)
Stained teeth can frequently be whitened using at home bleaching trays that we fabricate in office. Tea, red wine, coffee and tobacco are all agents that can stain teeth. The bleach that we use contains carbamide peroxide in a gel form that is placed in a custom tray that you wear at night. Typically after seven days your teeth will lighten several shades. You can then touch up your teeth every so often with the trays and replacement syringes of bleaching gel.
Technology
Our office utilizes the newest proven technologies to provide you with the best in oral health care. Digital x-rays allow us to measure more accurately, enlarge and diagnose more accurately any oral conditions. Rotary endodontics provides a more thorough cleaning of root canals and has been proven to minimize costly re-treatment. Electric handpieces are quieter and faster cutting than traditional air driven handpieces. Composite fillings are stronger than ever before and can help bond a cracked tooth together.
